Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Flipstaa, including its affiliated companies (together, “Flipstaa”, “we”, “us” or “our”), knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy very seriously. Please read this Privacy Policy to learn how we handle your information, and please also read our Terms of Service.
This Privacy Policy covers our network of websites, applications, products, software, data feeds and services (together, the “Service”). It also covers our Content, meaning the text, software, scripts, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, audiovisual combinations, interactive features and other materials you can view on, access through or contribute to the Service. By visiting or using the Service, or viewing our Content, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy covers how we treat the personal information we collect when you visit or use the Service. It does not apply to third parties we do not own or control, or to people we do not employ or manage. The Service may contain links to third-party websites that we do not own or control. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of those websites, and we cannot censor or edit their content. By using the Service, you expressly release Flipstaa from all liability arising from your use of any third-party website.
Information we collect
We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of the Service. This information lets us give you a customized and efficient experience, and we do not process it in any way that is incompatible with that purpose. We collect the following types of information.
Information you provide to us
We receive and store any information you enter on the Service or give us in any other way. For example, we may collect information when you register on the Service, respond to a survey, contact customer service or reach us by other means, or take part in a promotion. You can choose not to give us certain information, but you may then be unable to use many of our special features.
Information we collect automatically
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Service. Flipstaa and our authorized agents automatically receive and record certain “traffic data” in server logs. This includes:
- your IP address
- cookie information
- the page you requested
- device and software characteristics, such as device type and operating system
- your location
- your activity on the Service
- ad data
- referral URLs
- device identifiers and other unique identifiers, such as advertising identifiers (for example, “Ad-ID” or “IDFA”)
We use this traffic data to diagnose server problems, analyze trends and administer the Service. We may also count how many times a page has been viewed and show that total on any page.
Many companies offer programs that let you visit or use the Service anonymously. We won’t be able to give you a personalized experience if we can’t recognize you, but we want you to know these programs are available.
Email communications
We care about your privacy and will never give your email address to a third party without your explicit permission, except as described in the “Sharing your information” section below. We may send you emails with Flipstaa news, products, offers, surveys or promotions.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your device through your web browser. They let our systems recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages on the Service are visited, and by how many people. Our cookies do not collect personal information. We also do not combine information from cookies with other personal information to find out who you are or what your screen name or email address is.
Most browsers have a “Help” section that explains how to stop the browser from accepting new cookies, how to have it notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to turn off cookies completely. We recommend leaving cookies turned on, because they enable some of the Service’s best features.
Besides cookies, we may use other technologies such as web beacons or pixel tags, which can be embedded in web pages, videos or emails. They collect certain information from your browser, show whether you have viewed a particular web page or email, and record details such as when you viewed the Content, your device’s IP address and the URL of the page where you viewed the Content.
Third-party advertising and statistics
We use third-party advertising companies to show ads when you visit or use the Service. These companies may use information about your visits to and use of the Service to show ads for goods and services that may interest you. This does not include your name, address, email address or phone number.
We also allow third parties to monitor the Service so they can report on traffic, statistics, advertisements, click-throughs and other activity. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies to compile aggregate, anonymous statistics about our users.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information these cookies generate about your use of the Service, including your IP address, is sent to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the Service, compile reports on website activity for website operators and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties when required by law or when those third parties process it on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data it holds.
You can refuse cookies by choosing the appropriate settings in your browser, but if you do, you may not be able to use all of the Service’s features. For more on how to opt out, see “Do Not Track disclosures” below. By using the Service, you consent to Google processing data about you in the way and for the purposes described above.
Do Not Track disclosures
We may use tracking technologies to collect information about your visits over time and across third-party websites and other online services. To learn more about this practice, see your choices about how these companies use this information, and opt out of most third-party tracking, visit:
Sharing your information
We do not rent or sell your personal information to anyone. We share your personal information only as described below.
- Personnel: Our staff and authorized consultants or contractors may access user information when needed in the normal course of our business.
- Business transfers: We may buy or sell assets, and user information is usually one of the business assets transferred in these transactions. If Flipstaa, the Service or substantially all of Flipstaa’s assets were acquired, user information would be one of the assets transferred.
- Protection of Flipstaa and others: We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that this is necessary to comply with the law, to enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other policies, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Flipstaa, our employees, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
- Syndication: We allow public Content from the Service to be syndicated through RSS.
Security of your information
- Security measures: We use physical, electronic and managerial procedures designed to prevent unauthorized access, keep data secure and use the information we collect online correctly. These safeguards vary with the sensitivity of the information we collect and store.
- No guarantee of security: We take appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, but we cannot guarantee that your information will never be disclosed, altered or destroyed in a way that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
Children under 13
The Service is not directed at children, and you must be at least 13 years old to register. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it as quickly as possible. We recommend that minors aged 13 to 18 ask for and receive their parents’ permission before using the Service or sending information about themselves or anyone else over the internet.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights:
- California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets you request information about any personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
- California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 lets registered users who are minors request and obtain the deletion of certain content they have posted.
To make either request, please contact us through our About Us page.
